JUICE (Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer ) mission started its 8 years long journey to Jupiter on 14 April 2023 with ADMATIS hardware on board!

The Ariane 5 rocket launched from French Guiana spaceport to liftoff one of the most ambitious European space mission. Juice, will make detailed observations of the giant gas planet and its three large ocean-bearing moons – Ganymede, Callisto and Europa – with a suite of remote sensing, geophysical and in situ instruments. The mission will characterise these moons as both planetary objects and possible habitats, explore Jupiter’s complex environment in depth, and study the wider Jupiter system as an archetype for gas giants across the Universe.

There are 10 scientific instruments on board one of them is equipped by our thermal protection system. The special multi-layer insulation (MLI) was design to survive the very harsh space environment and to provide the requested optimal thermal conditions to the PEP instruments. The maximum temperature will be 250 °C in the flyby at Venus while the minimum -230 °C at Jupiter.
